LHR Introduces Safety On Site (S.O.S)

SOS1 LHR is bringing its safety store to a rig near you. With the company's new Safety on Site (S.O.S.) trucks, LHR has developed a way for rigs to have direct access to LHR stocked safety equipment.

First introduced in South Texas, the S.O.S trucks are stocked with a variety of equipment including fall protection, head and face protection, hand protection, hearing protection, respiratory protection, foot protection, heat stress and cold weather products, flammable storage equipment, first aid refills, Tethered Tools and much more.

The S.O.S trucks make regular visits to land rigs and the service industry in the South Texas area, enabling on-site workers to purchase the safety equipment they need immediately and on the spot.

Additionally, the S.O.S trucks can pick up DBI-Sala Blocks and gas monitors needing repair and calibration and delivers them back to the site following repair.

The S.O.S program is currently only servicing the South Texas region, but will be introduced in Grand Junction, Colorado in the near future.

New Address, New Services, Same Great Quality and Customer Care

LHR Services and Equipment, Inc.(LHR) has a new home. Outgrowing its old facility, LHR moved its corporate headquarters and Houston distribution center to a new location in 2007. The new 30,000 square-foot facility, situated on seven acres in Pearland, Texas, enables LHR to increase service capabilities, increase inventory levels and provides room for further growth and expansion.

And growth is the very reason for the latest move. Since its inception in 1983, LHR's headquarters has grown from an 8,000 square-foot facility to a 16,000 square foot facility to the 30,000 square foot-facility LHR is housed in today.

"We are excited about our growth and the opportunities this new facility offers, " said Mike Lee, LHR President & Founder. "But our continued growth and success would be nowhere near where it is today without the hard work and dedication of every single LHR employee and the commitment of our loyal customers. They have made this expansion possible."

WarehouseThe new offices provide ample room for meeting facilities, safety seminars and customer training workshops. Additionally, the new warehouse provides extra space for self-retracting lifeline, winches and descent device repair and recertification; portable gas monitor repair and calibration; inflatable life raft inspection; Billy Pugh X-904 personnel-transfer device refurbishment; and NDT/MPI testing.

To arrange a tour of the new facilities, contact LHR at (713) 943-2324.

Service in the Rockies

RigIn 2007, LHR expanded its services by opening offices in the Rocky Mountains.   The two "Safety Service Centers" - one in Rock Springs, Wyoming and one in Grand Junction, Colorado, stock and deliver safety supplies to rigs on a daily basis.

The centers were opened in response to customer's reports of delivery logistic problems to remote drilling rigs. To ensure delivery would no longer be a problem, LHR invested in ownership of two private delivery trucks and drivers. While standard mail services may have trouble locating a rig, LHR's drivers are up to speed on rig locations throughout the region.

And while remote delivery is no longer an issue neither is rush delivery of equipment. Having established addresses in the Rockies enables LHR to easily rush equipment from its Houston distribution center to its service centers in Colorado or Wyoming.

If you are interested in LHR's services in the Rocky Mountain region contact Case Payne in Colorado at (970) 433-1799 or contact Clint Robinson in Wyoming at (970) 361-0661.
